Great pot roasted chicken

Does this look like something you want to try? If so, read on.

INGREDIENTS

  • whole Chicken
  • Carrots
  • Pepper and salt
  • Potatoes
  • Herbs of your choice (parsley sage and rosemary are recommended)
  • onions

METHOD

  1. Pre-heat the oven to gas mark three.
  2. Put your pot on the high Burner and oil generously.
  3. Chop and peel the onions and place them in the pot.
  4. Keep moving the onions while they soften.
  5. Peel the potatoes and carrots while you wait.
  6. When there is a patch of brown onion at the bottom of the pan, you can put the chicken in.
  7. Put boiling water into the pot and slow it to go inside the chicken.
  8. Put the pepper on the chicken and the salt mainly in the water. You can put the herbs in and the potatoes and carrots.
  9. Give it some time to warm up inside the pot. You can put the lid on.
  10. Cook for two hours.
  11. Serve and enjoy!

Spongy sourdough starter!

How to feed your starving starter

Forgotten how to keep your starter well fed, well then this is the simple method.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100g starter
  • 100g water
  • 100g flour

METHOD

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a sealable container
  2. It is REALLY important that you mix them in the order messioned
  3. If you want to see if it’s rising, put a band at the current level of the starter.
  4. Make bread!

Fluffy doughnuts!

Fulfilment’s doughnuts

Like the look of these awesome doughnuts? Then read on. The simple recipe tastes better than any.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 70g cold butter (if you are using salted then you don’t need the salt)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 170ml milk
  • Sugar, cinnamon, jam (for toppings)

METHOD

  1. Crumble the ingredients until they form a breadcrumb like feel.
  2. Slowly add the milk until it forms a dough. You may not need it all.
  3. Roll it into about 1cm.
  4. Easy. Make doughnut shapes. You can do this by using to cutters of different sizes.
  5. Heat your oil (olive or other) at a medium heat.
  6. Add the doughnuts to the oil and fry until browns. Remember to flip every now and then.
  7. Dip them in jam or sugar/cinmmon sugar.
  8. Enjoy!
